Funny i actually "dissected" a musical box which is on my desk for many years now just to have a look at how the mechanism works. I thought i might be able to build one with the resources n facilities i can easily get now in labs. However, it's not as simple though, actually, it is the exact opposite, it's very complicated. I don't think i can build one easily after looking at each small parts n components that make up the whole mechanism to play some simple happy birthday tune. But somehow, i have a feeling that i'm gonna build one someday.

Kay.. guess i just went off track. Back to my point, you just gotta admit that a musical box is p-r-e-t-t-y!! It's so simple, yet nice. A little wooden box which when u open the lid, a little balerina figure can be seen dancing n turning in accordance to the flow of each consecutive notes which strings up to make perfect melody. It often brings back sweet memories which might put a smile on your lips as u watch the figure spin and dance gracefully in a small little world of her own.

It would be great if i can build one someday. Something to look forward to in year 2008. =)
